About Edit a PDF Online
Make changes to a PDF directly in the editor. Select existing text to replace words, use formatting controls for emphasis, and add text, links, images, highlights or a visual signature.
How it works
- Upload a PDF.

What to know
The original font is used when possible. When a PDF contains an incomplete font, a similar full font is used for new characters. Existing-text editing does not reflow whole paragraphs. Image-based text may need conversion before it can be edited.
Common questions
Can I edit words already in the PDF?
Yes, when the page contains supported selectable text. Image-only words need OCR first, and existing-text editing does not reflow entire paragraphs.
Will replacement text use the original font?
The editor reuses the original font when it can. If an embedded subset lacks new characters, it uses a compatible full font; you can provide the original font for a closer match.
Documents are cleared when you close the tool or leave the page. Only files you choose to download stay on your device.
